(Dec. 2) Changsha University of Science and Technology and Honam University of South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an academic exchange significance between the two, as well as further potentials to promote exchange programs for both students and faculty members.

 Mr. Park Sang Cheol (박상철, vice president of Honam university), Mr. Rhie Jeong Lim (이정림, professor, Dean of Confucius Institute of Honam) and Mr. Cao Yijia, CSUST president were present at the signing ceremony alongside some department heads from the two academic institutions.

In his welcoming speech, Mr. Cao expressed sincere welcome to visiting guests, he is confident that both universities will yield tangible results in cooperation on talent training, discipline management, joint scientific research, and Confucius Institute cooperation.

 Mr. Park noted that both universities share a lot in common, while suggesting mutual collaborations in the key strengths of both institutions. He expected the two strong universities will join hands in ushering in the new chapter of comprehensive and in-depth cooperation.

Representatives from International Exchange Division, College of Economics and Management and College of Design and Arts were also there at the meeting.
