Recently, the 23rd “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English DebatingCompetitiondrewto a successfulend. Wang Xiyao, an English majorundergraduateof grade2018 and Li Zeping, a translationmajor undergraduateof grade 2019,coached byWang Haoping from the School of ForeignStudies of CSUST,won the second prize of the national Englishdebatingcompetition.

“FLTRP·ETIC Cup” National English DebatingCompetitionis jointly organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, China Language Assessment and other institutions. It is currently the largest and most influential national English debate competition in China. Over recent years, our university has attached great importance to improving the quality of undergraduate education and encouraged them to participate in different contests so as to strengthen communication and improve themselves in an all-round way. Since 2018, students fromthe School of ForeignStudiesof CSUST have won the national awards in this competition for three consecutive years (suspended in 2020), including one national first prize and two second prizes.
